Day Services
Our daytime service is a centre of purpose and belonging. We aim to support people at risk of homelessness, people who are currently homeless or people who have experienced homelessness in the past.
We offer a range of services, including housing advice, benefits advice, debt advice and general advocacy advice. We also offer guests support from partners who can be accessed through our day centre including dental, physical and mental health services, addiction services, immigration advice, education, training and employment organisations and more.
We aim to support our guests by creating an encouraging environment where individuals can be supported in managing the difficulties in their lives, whilst helping people to flourish and feel empowered. We have an array of activities here which include all mentioned above plus showers, laundry services, hot and cold food, clothes and toiletries, baking and cooking sessions, weekly reflections, woodwork and gardening days, fun outings and simply a community to be with.
Women’s Wednesdays. It is a pilot project for homeless women. The women-only day service runs once a week using funding from three small local community funds and private donations. It is a quiet space where women can meet support workers from agencies working in the field of homelessness, domestic abuse, sexual health, mental health, and employment reactivation. It also provides an opportunity to be pampered with nail painting, art activities, and quality conversations with professionals. The pilot is due to run until August 2026.
“I will tell you the kind of day I want—a day to set people free. I want a day that you take the burdens off others. I want a day when you set troubled people free and you take the burdens from their shoulders. I want you to share your food with the hungry.
I want you to find the poor who don’t have homes and bring them into your own homes. When you see people who have no clothes, give them your clothes! Don’t hide from your relatives when they need help.”
Isaiah 58: 6-7
“We love because he first loved us.”
